Welcome back to Kindred Notes, where I share bits from my journal, that have brought me peace of mind, growth, comfort, self-nurture, tenderness and understanding.
1.
Use your true voice, not the energetic one, not the one others expect you to use. Use that calm, paced one. There is no rush.
2.
Make a list of things that makes me feel calm and content.
3.
Don’t set any expectations to your day. I will feel what I feel. I will not fix anything. I will write down any worries for later. I will only do what I feel like. I will respect my level of energy.
4.
I have realised that what I can do to make my life easier is to understand my body and mind. Only that can give me balance. Identifying my feelings and accepting them, gives me the freedom of understanding and their roots. And with that, I can be my own best friend. No one can do that better than ourselves.
5.
I acknowledge how far I have come. I allow myself to be okay with having a low day. I accept that one day is not the reflection of a lifetime.
I would love to read it, if you feel like sharing it.
Another wonderful post, Nadja! 🥰
I love this list, thank you for sharing! Number 3 is one I have to keep reminding myself of. Im trying to break the habit of expecting too much from things, and instead letting them flow as they are meant to.
My reminder to myself at the moment is ‘my anxious thoughts do not keep myself or my loved ones safe’.
