Kindred Notes #03
Some of the words that have come up lately in my journal are choice, fix, space, loyal, and slower.
Welcome back to Kindred Notes, where I share bits from my journal, that have brought me peace of mind, growth, comfort, self-nurture, tenderness and understanding.
1.
It’s okay to say that I don’t want to talk about something. I have a choice. I don’t need to explain, make excuses or give too much of myself. I can say no.
2.
I am open to what comes. I don’t need to fix anything. I can wait until I am ready to think about it. And it can be just a little bit at a time, no need for a master plan. Small steps are the best steps.
3.
With hard feelings and situations, get up and give it space. Sometimes, by looking at it from afar, the landscape becomes clearer.
4.
Be loyal to my feelings, to myself. I have to do what feels right to myself.
5.
I have to learn how to things slower, there is no need to rush. In the morning, I don’t need to jump out of bed, I can slowly wake, stretch, and get up when it feels right. On the way to the bus, I can take my time, not run, and notice my surroundings.
Only if you feel like sharing.

Oh yes to point 3. I find it hard but often a necessary part of appreciating, learning or understanding to sit with hard feelings 💛
